Shaun Mecca, born Shaun A. Santos on December 1987 in Dallas Tx. He was raised in the city of Donna which is located 9 hours south of his birth town. At the age of 10, he was already being influenced by the likes of Biggie, Kriss Kross, Michael Jackson and others. By the time he was a freshman in high school, he was determined to make a name for himself by battling against other local artists in his city. A senior in high school, he was already a neighborhood celebrity. But that wasn’t enough for young Mecca, he wanted the entire world to know his name.By age 21 he had been in the presence and shared stages with many mainstream artists from Paul Wall to Lil Wayne, from Chingo Bling to Kevin Gates. In 2011 he had his first radio debut with the song “Going Crazy”. Then in 2014, his single “Ima Put It Down” got thrown in rotation in his birthplace of Dallas which boosted his north Texas fan base. After almost 20 years of music, Shaun released his debut album titled “Untitled” under GT Digital. With over 500k combined views on YouTube, over 115k streams on SoundCloud and his growing monthly 1k listeners on Spotify, Mecca’s fan base continues to grow.
